Welcome to Spring 2022! While most look forward to the warmer weather after the cold winter months, there are some important health conditions this time of the year.
Seasonal allergies: Seasonal allergies become more frequent during spring as plants and trees start to produce flowers and pollen counts generally increase. Remember that if you are prone to seasonal allergies that taking your prescribed medication is important during this season to prevent worsening of allergic rhinitis, asthma and/or conjunctivitis.
Also remember that viral upper airway infections are still common in spring. So it important to continue praciticing good health hygiene habits such as avoiding touching your face, covering your mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough, washing hands frequently and staying home when you are ill to prevent others from becoming ill.
